This Cookie Policy explains how RefundSensor (operated by Vasundhara Solutions Lab LLP) uses cookies and similar technologies on refundsensor.com and within the Service. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, which we refer to collectively as "cookies" where relevant. We keep our use of cookies minimal: our marketing pages set no cookies of their own, and most cookies are set only after you sign in to the dashboard.

1. Strictly Necessary

• Purpose: enable core functions such as signing in, security, and maintaining your active session. These are first-party, HttpOnly cookies set only after you log in; the Service cannot work without them.

• Examples: rs_at (short-lived access token) and rs_rt (refresh token that keeps you signed in).

• Consent required: No

2. Analytics / Performance

• Purpose: help us understand how the dashboard is used (such as pages viewed and where people click) so we can improve it. Within the application we use Microsoft Clarity for this; it can be turned off in our configuration and is not loaded when off.

• Examples: _clck, _clsk (set by Microsoft Clarity).

• Consent required: Yes (where required)

Preferences (local storage, not cookies). For minor interface preferences — such as remembering that you dismissed an in-app notice — we use your browser's local storage rather than cookies. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

We do not use marketing, advertising, or retargeting cookies, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies or similar technologies are set by third parties we use:

• Microsoft Clarity — in-app product analytics (see Section 3).

• Paddle — our payment provider (Merchant of Record), which may set cookies during checkout to process your payment.

These third parties process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

5. Your choices and how to manage cookies

• Consent banner: where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can accept, reject, or customise your choices, and change them at any time.

• Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Service works.

• Withdraw consent: you can withdraw consent at any time; this will not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
