Dashboard & analytics
What each number on your dashboard means, and how Refund Sensor defines Money Saved, Success Rate, and the rest.
App and date filters
Every number on the dashboard responds to two controls at the top: the app selector (a single app or all of them) and the date range. Change either one and the whole page, including the charts and breakdowns, recomputes for that scope, so you are always comparing like for like.
The four headline numbers
Your dashboard leads with four figures:
- Money Saved, the refund revenue you kept because a defense was upheld.
- Success Rate, how often your defended and decided refunds ended in your favor.
- Refund Requests, how many refund requests came in over the selected range.
- Money at Risk, the value of requests still awaiting a decision.
Money Saved
Money Saved counts only refunds that Refund Sensor actually defended and that were upheld in your favor. Apple and Google decline many refunds on their own; those are recorded as refund cases but are not attributed to Refund Sensor, so the figure reflects real, defended wins rather than every refund that happened to be declined. All amounts are normalized to US dollars, so a mix of currencies still adds up correctly.
Success Rate
Success Rate is the share of the refunds we defended, and that have been decided, which ended in your favor. While nothing has been decided yet there is no rate to show, so the dashboard displays a dash rather than a misleading zero or one hundred percent. It is always measured over decided cases, never over requests that are still open.
Insights
Beyond the headline numbers, Insights breaks refunds down by app and by refund reason, so you can see where refunds come from and which reasons are most and least defensible. Every figure across the product comes from one shared definition, so the Dashboard and Insights never disagree.
Historical refunds
Refunds that happened before you connected an app are detected automatically and kept out of your KPIs and quota, since Refund Sensor was not there to defend them. They are still visible so you have the full history, just not counted against your success numbers.
